Outdoor Adventures

The beautiful University of Oklahoma campus has paths for biking, jogging and walking that connect sports facilities, parks and multi-use green space.  If you’re in the mood to get back to nature, Lake Thunderbird State Park is less than 14 miles away and offers camping, boating, swimming, hiking, biking, wildlife viewing and outstanding bird watching.

Artistic Expression

Approximately 400 recitals, concerts, performances, and exhibitions are presented each year in the OU Arts District.  The OU Fred Jones Jr, Museum of Art is ranked in the top 5 university art museums in the country, with  the largest gift of French Impressionist art ever given to a public university in the US.  Outside of the arts district, campus organizations put on a wide variety of artistic events, listed on the campus calendar

The OU community mingles with local artists in Norman, with music venues such as The Opolis and quirky art galleries, including the Firehouse Art Center.

Culinary Delight

The Flying Cow Cafe , home to gourmet sandwiches, brick oven pizzas and more, is located in the beautiful National Weather Center.  Main campus, easily accessible through the CART bus system, offers a broad selection of dining options, such as Cucina Italiana and Taco Mayo.

Norman is home to an incredible variety of restaurants, from network icons like The Diner to neighborhood classics such as the Greek House.  Spice up your meal with restaurants for romance, power lunches, entertainment, buffets,  Sunday brunches and more.  Food from a variety of cuisines, for every budget.

Oklahoma City

If you’re in the mood for a night in the city, Oklahoma City is just a short drive away and offers an enormous number of activities.
